Changes in the Legends Arena

Hey Legends!

In the last few days we went through our current tournament structure and how we could improve it in the near future. We want every player in our community to be happy and enjoy our tournaments, which is why we regulary gather feedback to understand our community.

Multiple requests have been made in the last few weeks. Based on this feedback we are adjusting our platform. These changes will take effect from next week on and forward.

TL;DR: Removing Miramar, removing TPP, adjusting circles, adjusting points for duo/solo, adjusting points for kills, changed loot spawn

Removing Miramar from the map pool
When we introduced Miramar, a lot of people enjoyed playing it, as it was something new. However, after a short time, many of you guys disagreed with that change. This is why we are now taking Miramar out of the map pool and will explore our options once the 3rd map of PUBG has been released.

Removing TPP tournaments, replacing them with FPP
Our original idea of Legends Arena was to provide every player out there with a cool opportunity to play the game. However, in the last few weeks, the competitive scene has developed. FPP is now the primary game mode, which is why we will be only supporting FPP tournaments from next week on. We hope that you guys, especially in the squads section, enjoy this change!

Changing the circle settings
The circle settings have been an issue from the start on at Legends Arena. We haven't touched them in our community tournaments just yet (they were currently only changed in leagues). This is because we wanted the players to enjoy the default game in a more competitive manner. We always have to find a good way to bridge the gap between new and older players. However, it's time to change. We are now using the official competitive circle settings, which you also know from other competitive tournament providers:

These settings will be used for all upcoming tournaments (Solo, Duo, Squad)

Points per kill
Currently a kill rewards a player with 3 points. This will be increased to 5 points for each kill made for all 3 game modes (Solo, Duo, Squad)

Changed loot spawn
We are adjusting the loot spawn to handle the larger amount of players we usually have in our tournaments, following settings will be used:

  • Assault Rifles: 1.6x
  • Sniper Rifles: 1.3x
  • Ammunition: 1.5x

We hope that every player is able to have a better endgame with these adjusted settings.

Changed points distribution
Based on the feedback a lot of you guys gave us we have adjusted our points system for the duo and solo tournaments:

We hope that this point distribution will enable more players to enjoy the game. We know it's hard to catch back up once you've made a bad placement, so this new system with better point distribution and adjusted points per kills will hopefully make it easier for you to enjoy your favourite game!

As a last note: We ALWAYS! listen to your feedback. However, we run up to 6 tournaments each week, with different player bases as well as different modes. Changes sometimes may take a bit longer to get through to every tournament. However, we hope you enjoy the new changes! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
